Regulations for the functioning of the Candidacy Evaluation Commission

Article 1 – Object

This document governs the functioning, evaluation criteria and responsibilities of the Evaluation Committee for company applications for admission to participation in the fair.

Article 2 – Composition of the Commission

The Commission is composed of 9 members, appointed by the fair organizer, chosen from among industry experts, institutional representatives and qualified professionals.

Article 3 – Tasks of the Commission

The Commission has the task of evaluating the proposals of the candidate companies according to the established criteria, in order to determine their eligibility to participate in the fair.

Article 4 – Operating methods

  • The Commission meets upon convocation by the President, who may be one of the members or a person designated by the organizer.
  • Meetings are valid with the presence of at least half plus one of the members.
  • Decisions are made by a simple majority of those present. In the event of a tie, the President's vote prevails.
  • The evaluations are documented through official reports.

Article 5 – Evaluation criteria

To be admitted to the fair, candidate companies must meet the following criteria:

  1. Relevance and adherence to the sector
    The proposal must be consistent with the theme and scope of the fair.
  2. Commercial value and market potential
    Evaluation of the company's ability to contribute to the success of the event and market synergies.
  3. Product/Service Quality
    Innovation, quality, certifications and distinctiveness compared to the competition.
  4. Representativeness of Made in Italy.
    The application must come from a company that represents products and/or services that reflect Italian values or are produced entirely in Italy . Specifically, the company must demonstrate that its products or services are made in Italy or express a strong connection to Italy's cultural, artisanal, and manufacturing heritage.
  5. Impact and visibility
    Potential for visibility and ability to attract visitors and the public.
  6. Compliance with logistical and organizational requirements
    Compliance with the set-up, safety, and logistics methods required by the event.

Article 6 – Responsibilities of the Commission

  • The Commission takes responsibility for adopting a transparent, objective and reasoned evaluation method.
  • It is responsible for ensuring a fair and impartial process, avoiding favoritism or conflicts of interest.
  • Decisions must be documented and justified in the minutes of the meeting.
  • The Commission undertakes to respect the deadlines established for the evaluations and to promptly communicate the results to the candidate companies.

Article 7 – Checks and appeals

Companies may appeal against decisions, according to the methods and terms established by the organiser.

Article 8 – Entry into force

This specification comes into force from the date of approval and remains valid until any changes are made.
